I am a divemaster in Dallas, and have stayed there many times with my wife, sometimes with our two grown girls, and the other Divemasters/Instructors. We are a party bunch and once a year take a group of newly certified students from Dallas down. It is great if you are a diver, becasue it has a dock, a dive shop, and good shore diving, as well as
being easy walking distance from town--so if you party seriously at our favorite watering holes, you can make it home. It is one of the places you can safley "drink the water" becasue it has it's own purification sysem in the hotel--something you don't find at most others. The dive boats come right to the hotel dock, and you can make great night dives right there. The beds are hard, but in typical mexican style everything is stone and tile. (If you do the party bit right you don't notice the hard beds!) They have pretty good food at the hotel, TV, and balconeys overlooking the ocean in every room--but it is more expensive than in town so we don't eat all our meals there.
