The Bahia is right along the waterfront...convenient to town, but I would guess it would be a noisy room -- not just at night but early in the mornings when they're loading tanks on dive boats. Days Inn is south of town -- probably a 15-minute walk or so to get to the square. I had a friend who stayed there once and had no complaints, but he's since moved on to more expensive digs. How much a night are these hotels quoting you? If you're looking for inexpensive and friendly, you might consider Alicia's B&B ($25 and $35 a night, including breakfast) or the Hacienda San Miguel (starting around $40 or $50 a night).
