Allegro Resort is Awesome!! went there for my honeymoon the 2nd week of June. The staff is very friendly. The food is very good. One thing to keep in mind there are 3 restaurants, 1 is a Buffet, 1 is a Mexican Restaurant and the other is an Italian Restaurant. If you want to dine at the Mexican or Italian Restaurant you have to make reservations in the Morning for that day. Although people were making reservations in the morning for the whole week.
The Snorkeling was good but I highly recommend visiting Chankanaab park or Dzul Ha. At Chankanaab you can swim with Dolphins (pretty expensive). and if you goto Chankanaab dont miss out Sea Treking. As about it at the information desk at Allegro or email me.
Another thing I recommend is renting a car and visiting the other side of the island. Very vacant beautiful beaches. Playa bonita is beautiful! A small tip - Chen Rio is expensive. Well back to Allegro they have alot of nightly activities. 2 big pools 1 with a swim up bar. They have a wonderful fruit bar. Dont forget to ask for
one of those BIG Coconuts. They also have alot of activities for the kids. Another great thing I liked about the Resort is that they give you a daily schedule for all the activities available throughout the day, and they put it right under your door everymorning.
