Hay Aussi, Stay at the hotel Baracuda if you want real Mexican close to town reasonalbe prices and just remodeled, I was there 15 years ago and we looked in on the place 2 weeks ago, no pool though. We stayed at the Los Glorias which is still close to town up scale good food and also dive shop with great snorkeling or diving right at the hotel highly recomend. Go to town to eat though lots of great resturants(Palmares) right accross the street from the ferryboat. Check out the trip report by Milosivich he and his wife stayed at the Los Glorias and he gave a great trip report with pic's of the Hotel town all he loves his breakfast most of all. I would also recomend the L Presidente Hotel always has been the best hotel on Cosumel. Have a great trip mate and if you need anything else don't hesitate to ask. Ed and Barb.
