My wife & I stayed there on our honeymoon last May. We had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Make sure you get a room that faces north (toward the grounds), so that you have a nice view from your room. Ask them to change it at check-in if necessary.

The nightly shows are pretty entertaining, especially if you take the time to get to know the workers a little bit during the day, since they are the performers. They also try to add variety by moving the dinner buffet to the beach, the pool area, the dinner theater, etc. on different nights of the week.

No problems with the water at Royal Park either.
