: Leaving for Cozumel on Feb. 13, first time there. Well the view from our window is above, so that should give you an idea of what you'll likely wake up to if you stay in the main building. We stayed there in October. It's very nice, very modern and the service is very good. Someone will tell you they are the concierge and invite you to an orientation breakfast or some such rot. Looked like a sales pitch to us, so we stood them up. The Lomas Travel guy was actually there to answer our questions though (if you've never been to Coz, this may not make sense, but believe me, it will after one day on the island). I'd avoid the hotel restaurant and take as many dinners in town as you can. Though we did have decent lunch/breakfast experiences at the Dive Bar (the open air place by the pool/beach), the meal at the main sit-down restaurant was pretty underwhelming for the price (the service, however, was superb). When you go to the Dive Bar, ask for Isaias and tell him "Mateo" and Janine say hello -- he probably wouldn't remember us, but he's an excellent waiter so you never know :) Have a good time!
