We like the Fiesta Americana and don't choose the AI plan. We enjoy eating out downtown at night. Lots of wonderful restaurants!!! The Fiesta Americana is south of town about 4-5 miles. We were with another couple and I think the taxi ride to town was about $10.00. We rent a VW during our stay which is well worth it for beach hopping or a quick run to the store. We used it some at night but mostly took taxis if we were drinking. Don't be afraid to venture out in Cozumel. Rented the VW at our hotel for most of our stay.
