Hotel Fontan is in the north hotel zone. There is a small inlet whereby people enter the water to swim and snorkel. There is no beach but the hotel is waterfront. This is a timeshare property that will encourage you to purchase vacation time. It is a slick outfit so watch yourself. Beautiful women will try to get you to sign up. I know this first-hand.
Snorkeling is wonderful right at the hotel. There is also a restaurant on site. Rooms were quite nice (extensive renovations completed in May, 2000). Short cab-ride to town. While in Coz, check out Coconuts on the east coast, good food, amazing location on a cliff. Resorts south of town are more expensive because of better (natural not man-made) beaches. Also pricier because Coz is a diver destination and southern hotels are closer to most popular dive reefs. More questions email direct at johnaparr@home.com
