Hi everyone! Just wanted to say thanks for all the great info on Coz.

We got back yesterday afternoon. We flew on ATA from Atlanta. The flight was really great...EARLY both times!! Flight service wonderful...no problems.

We stayed at Coral Princess Resort. This resort is GREAT! It's smaller than most resorts we've stayed in, but very homey! The service was OUTSTANDING!! Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was really good! They served a fruit plate, fresh breads, eggs, potatoes, ham/bacon, coffee, OJ. Definitely a FULL breakfast. We also had nachos by the pool & drinks. From 5-6 everyday the bar has happy hour... 2 for 1. Everything we had at the restaurant, snack bar & bar was really good.

The hotel has great snorkeling/diving right off the back. The water was crystal clear and felt great! Trust me...it felt wonderful jumping in that beautiful water after lounging in the sun!!

We had a studio room, ocean view, 8th floor, non-smoking, king bed. The view was awesome!! We could see the port from our room and watched the cruise ships come in/out. The a/c was cold enough to freeze you out :) and the room also came with a small refrigerator so we got to stock up with beer/cokes etc. My only drawback on the hotel was the water pressure. I think I still have saltwater and soap in my hair!!!

We did a resort dive (we are first timers!) with Luis at the hotel dive shop-Pepe's! Luis was great and managed to keep me calm! He has been diving 25 yrs and was really a great instructor.
The resort dive was pretty short...only 30 mins and we paid $60 each! We were a little disappointed with the dive running so short...especially for the price ($60 each).

Our first night we ate at a restaurant right off the square...I'm not sure of the name but it was pretty good. We also had lunch at Palmeras...NOT impressed.
2nd night we ate at Casa Dennis...VERY good pork tacos & guacamole! The margaritas were AWFUL! I heard the waiter telling someone they use an entire bottle of tequila for 2 margaritas. YUUCCKK! Anyway, service was good and the beer was COLD!
Our last night we ate at Prima. This is a really pretty restaurant with a great view above town. The food was good, I had the pasta combo - lobster, shrimp, scallops & pasta. My boyfriend had the filet migon and enjoyed his also.

We went to Chanakaab Park and snorkeled (we saw a baracuda!), watched the dolphins & sea lions. Pretty neat place, the snorkeling was great!

We rented a Geo tracker ($75 for two days) and drove to the otherside of the island. Had a cold beer and hung in the hammocks at Rasta's. The otherside was nice, but we didn't swim. Waves were pretty high the day we went.

There wasn't much of a nightlife in Coz. We eat pretty late and most of the restaurants were pretty dead around 9pm. Carlos & Charlies & Viva Mexico seemed to be the only happenening spots. We were always too tired from our daytime activies to partake in the partying!! :)

Overall, we were really impressed with Cozumel. We are going to get our certification to dive and will DEFINITELY go back. Cozumel is BEAUTIFUL and a wonderful place to relax!
