Re: costa club/previous Fiesta InnPosted by Shell on August 17, 2000 at 11:12:13: In Reply to: costa club/previous Fiesta Inn posted by Judy on August 16, 2000 at 21:06:45: The hotel is across the street from the ocean and is shaped such that nearly all the rooms look out over the pool/courtyard (quite large, actually). There are a few rooms that face the street, but it's only a 3-story building, so I wouldn't call it oceanfront -- also, I've heard those rooms can get a lot of street noise. There's a small manmade beach across the street and decent snorkeling off the pier (a ladder leads down to the water). We stayed at the Fiesta Inn our first trip down and stayed there on a return trip, mainly because it's inexpensive, has a great pool and is close to town (about a 10- or 15-minute walk). Things not to miss: a tour of the backside of the island, including a visit to the Punta Sur lighthouse; snorkeling (or diving); and a good meal in town, even you've opted for the all-inclusive plan at the hotel.
