Need hints on keeping cast dry?

Does anybody have any hints on how to keep a cast dry?  My daughter has a cast on her arm and today we tried covering it with a rubber kitchen glove and duct taping the top....but it didnt work..the cast still filled with water  :(  There will be no way to keep her out of the water when we hit Coz Thursday!  Has anybody tried anything that worked?
