My wife and I have been to Cozumel close to 20 times and have stayed at everything from the El Presidente to the old Divers Inn. For the money, Plaza las Glorias is our favorite. Big rooms, nice pool and close to town. Negatives are HARD beds and the hotel restaurant (eat all meals in town).
Get a room on the 4th or 5th floor, north end of the hotel if available....better view.
You're going to like it, I promise.
